It's slow on a phone
If the page takes more than a few seconds to appear on mobile data, many visitors give up and tap the next result.
It doesn't fit the screen
Tiny text, sideways scrolling and buttons too small to tap mean the site was built for computers, not the phones most customers use.
Chrome says "Not secure"
No padlock means no HTTPS. Browsers warn visitors before they've read a word, and it doesn't help you on Google.

- Your old site, until you're happy. It stays live while the new one is built on a private preview link.

When the new site goes live I only change where the website points, and I copy your email settings across first, so emails keep arriving as normal. If your current web company registered the domain for you, I'll help you get it moved into your own name.
Not if it's done properly. Every old page address is redirected to its new equivalent, so links and search results keep working and Google passes the trust you've built to the new pages. Rankings can move about for a few weeks after any change, and nobody can honestly guarantee positions, but a faster, clearer site gives you the best chance of doing better.
